Split Level Homes
Split level homes give the advantage of traditional 2-story living with fewer steps to the upper level. Like the bi-levels it offers room for expansion in the lower level with full windows, making it attractive and inexpensive. Because, unlike finished basements, lower level area is considered in the total finished square footage by appraisers, it becomes one of the least costly and most valuable homes per square foot. Split-levels work well on a level lot, or one that slopes from side to side.
